I\u2019m your host, Chris Budihas. And joining me from Switzerland is Jake Frazer with Precision Talent Solutions. Jake, how are you?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Jake:<\/strong><br>Doing great, Chris. Thanks for having me on. Appreciate it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Chris:<\/strong><br>Thanks for taking the time. Switzerland \u2014 what a great country to live in. You&#8217;re living the dream.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Jake:<\/strong><br>Been here eighteen years. I don\u2019t plan on leaving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Chris:<\/strong><br>Wonderful. Since this is the Five Minute Sleuth, let\u2019s get a little background on you. Where are you originally from, and what did you do in the military?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Jake:<\/strong><br>Yeah, I come from a long military lineage. Both grandfathers were Army, my dad was a career officer \u2014 a real Cold War guy. My brother was career information operations. My mom was a DoD school teacher.<br>I did ROTC at Vanderbilt back in the early nineties and deployed to Bosnia in \u201996. I really thought I\u2019d stay in the military long-term, but I ran into government contractors out on the \u201cbattlefield\u201d and realized that was a good way to make a living.<br>I didn\u2019t want to leave Europe, so I took a European out in \u201999. But I was a cav guy \u2014 tanks, Bradleys \u2014 breaking stuff all the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Chris:<\/strong><br>That\u2019s wonderful. And I see the scarlet and white in the background.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Jake:<\/strong><br>Yeah \u2014 four years was enough though. That was good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Chris:<\/strong><br>So, Precision Talent Solutions. What is this company, and how do you guys operate?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Jake:<\/strong><br>It&#8217;s easy to do what we do because we\u2019ve been out there in the mission. We\u2019ve had the company for ten years now. I started it with my former business partner \u2014 we served together in the Army and worked together for about twenty-seven years.<br>The business focuses specifically on talent for the government contracting space. We specialize in companies supporting the military, the Department of State, humanitarian missions, the UN, NATO \u2014 all of it.<br>We do permanent placement recruiting from C-suite and board seats, to vice presidents and program managers, all the way down to technical field positions.<br>We\u2019ve even sent mechanics into Ukraine to repair equipment and trainers into Africa. We pretty much cover the whole organizational chart \u2014 but only for government contracting.<br>We\u2019ve built a thirty-person team and developed a cool technology stack that includes psychometrics, personality assessments, and video interviews to supercharge how we recruit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Chris:<\/strong><br>So what was the motivation? How did you get into recruiting and placement?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Jake:<\/strong><br>After the Army, I worked inside one of the big publicly traded integrators for six years and saw how they approached talent. Then my partner and I ran a mid-size prime \u2014 about a $200 million business \u2014 for a decade.<br>Even though it was a supply-chain company, it was really a <em>people<\/em> business. We used psychometrics, 360s, and personality assessments to run the team, and I got really excited about the people side of things.<br>When we sold that company, I realized the biggest challenge in the industry isn\u2019t supply chain or technology \u2014 it\u2019s people. And we knew we could add a lot of value by helping companies recruit better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Chris:<\/strong><br>Are you European-focused or global?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Jake:<\/strong><br>Truly global. About eighty percent of our customers are American companies, and about sixty percent of our placements are in the U.S. since we handle a lot of higher-level roles.<br>But we&#8217;ve worked everywhere \u2014 Japan, Antarctica, Africa, the Middle East, Europe, even a bit in SouthCom. Our reach is genuinely global.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Chris:<\/strong><br>There are others in this space \u2014 what\u2019s your value proposition? Why go with Precision Talent Solutions?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Jake:<\/strong><br>If you want to do great recruiting, you need empathy. You have to understand what the customer is going through and what the candidate is going through.<br>Everyone on my team has been out in the field \u2014 Iraq, Afghanistan, Africa \u2014 so we all understand the urgency and the mission.<br>And our technology differentiates us. I don\u2019t think others are using psychometrics, video interviews, and personality assessments the way we do. Combined with our background, it makes a huge difference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Chris:<\/strong><br>That\u2019s huge. Because if your clients aren\u2019t getting the right people, they won\u2019t come back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Jake:<\/strong><br>Exactly. I tell clients, I don\u2019t want a one-year relationship \u2014 I want you as a client for life. We want to be <em>partners<\/em>, not just a vendor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Chris:<\/strong><br>I love that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Jake:<\/strong><br>Yeah. We\u2019ve also spent years giving back and helping transitioning military. I had to figure it out the hard way when I left, so we&#8217;ve mentored sergeants, captains, colonels \u2014 and recently over forty transitioning general officers.<br>This year we\u2019ve also helped about a hundred Senior Executive Service leaders transitioning out of agencies like FBI, DHS, NASA \u2014 you name it.<br>We\u2019re helping them find fractional advisory, board, and consulting opportunities in government contracting. 2025 has been a unique year for this, and we\u2019re proud of that work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Chris:<\/strong><br>That\u2019s fantastic.
